It Didn't Begin With a Business

Have you ever felt like your faith and your business were living in two different worlds?

We certainly did.

We loved God deeply. We believed His promises, served Him faithfully, and desired to honour Him in every area of our lives.

Yet when it came to business, we often found ourselves living beneath what we knew He had promised.

Jesus declared, "I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." Yet abundance often seemed easier to preach than to experience in the marketplace.

Then we began asking different questions.

What if entrepreneurship was more than building a business?

What if it was part of God's calling?

What if success began long before the first customer, the first sale, or the first strategy?

We discovered that the journey God was inviting us into did not begin with business.

It began with Him..

And so, we began... not with a business plan, but with prayer.

Not with ambition alone, but with purpose.

Not with certainty in ourselves, but with quiet confidence that God would be faithful every step of the journey.

Before we built a ministry...

Before we built resources...

We knelt.

Consecration came first.

Everything else followed.

As we continued walking with God, we discovered that He was doing far more than teaching us how to build better businesses.

He was reshaping the people who would build them.

Before God expands our influence, He first transforms our hearts. Before He entrusts us with greater responsibility, He teaches faithful stewardship.

Before He enlarges the platform, He deepens our dependence on Him.

We came to understand that entrepreneurship is more than creating products, serving customers, or generating income. It is a divine assignment—an opportunity to steward God's resources, reflect His character, and participate in His purposes through the work of our hands.

Consecration became more than a word.

It became the way we desired to live, lead, build, and serve.

Business became more than work.

It became worship.

And when hearts are consecrated, the marketplace begins to change.

When Christ becomes Lord of our work, leadership becomes service, stewardship becomes worship, and every decision becomes an opportunity to honour God.

That is why Consecrated Business Ministry exists.

From this biblical conviction grew a clear calling—to equip Christian entrepreneurs and marketplace leaders to honour God through business.

What began as a personal journey of consecration gradually became a calling to equip others. God was not only transforming our lives—He was preparing us to help Christian entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and marketplace leaders honour Him through business. From that calling, Consecrated Business Ministry was born. Today, that same calling continues to shape our Mission and Vision.
