As I Come to the Altar

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, not merely as a business owner, but as Your child and a steward of what You have entrusted to my hands.

I bring my business to Your altar.

I bring its beginnings, its present condition and its future. I bring the decisions I have made, the responsibilities I carry, the people connected to this work and the things I have not yet understood.

Lord, I acknowledge that this business does not exist independently of You. My strength, knowledge, experience and resources are not sufficient without Your wisdom and guidance.

I surrender the desire to build something that looks successful before people but is disconnected from Your purpose.

Let my work remain under Your authority.

Consecrate the Founder

Father, before I ask You to bless the business, I ask You to examine the person carrying it.

Search my heart.

Where fear has influenced my decisions, establish me in faith. Where pride has entered my leadership, teach me humility. Where disappointment has hardened my heart, restore my willingness to trust You.

Where I have relied entirely on my own understanding, bring me back to Your counsel.

Teach me to distinguish between an opportunity and an assignment, between growth and fruitfulness, and between being busy and being obedient.

Do not allow the demands of business to draw me away from the One who entrusted the work to me.

Form me as You establish the work of my hands.

Consecrate the Business

Father, I bring every part of this business before You.

I bring its finances, operations, products, services, customers, employees, suppliers, partnerships and leadership.

Let honesty govern our transactions.

Let wisdom govern our decisions.

Let fairness govern our relationships.

Let excellence become part of our service.

Where our systems are weak, give us wisdom to strengthen them. Where our practices require correction, give us courage to change them.

Where resources have been mismanaged, teach us faithful stewardship.

May this business never become a place where people are exploited, integrity is compromised or Your name is used to excuse irresponsible conduct.

Establish what is righteous and correct what is not.

Consecrate the Future

Lord, I surrender the future of this business to You.

I bring the plans I understand and the possibilities I cannot yet see.

I bring the desire for growth, stability, provision and lasting impact.

Teach me to prepare diligently without attempting to control everything.

Give me wisdom to recognise the seasons of planting, building, pruning, waiting and harvesting.

Where doors must open, lead me through them with understanding. Where doors must remain closed, give me peace and discernment.

May I never sacrifice obedience for expansion or exchange my relationship with You for the appearance of success.

Let what is built through this business become a blessing beyond my lifetime, without becoming an idol in my lifetime.

Return the Work to God

Father, I place this business before You again.

I do not ask You merely to accompany my plans. I ask You to govern my heart as I make them.

May prayer remain part of my leadership, Your Word remain the foundation of my decisions, and love remain visible in the way I treat people.

Teach me to carry responsibility without carrying what belongs to You.

May the work entrusted to my hands honour You, serve people faithfully and bear fruit according to Your purpose.

God Is Boss.

Everything entrusted to me must continually return to Your authority.
