Before We Publish, We Give God the Glory

There comes a moment in building when you have to stop looking at what still needs to be done and recognise what God has already done.

Tonight is such a moment for us.

Consecrated Business Ministry has been taking shape through pages, resources, prayers, teachings, conversations, decisions and many hours of work. Yet behind everything visible is a conviction that has governed this ministry from the beginning:

God is Boss. Business is stewardship.

We therefore do not want to build something for God and become so occupied with the building that we forget to bow before Him.

Before another post is published, before another event is organised, before another business owner arrives, before another resource is released, and before this ministry reaches further into the marketplace, we stop to say:

Thank You, Lord.

Thank You for the vision.

Thank You for correction when our language needed refining.

Thank You for wisdom when the structure was unclear.

Thank You for the work that required patience.

Thank You for every door You opened and every door You did not allow us to force.

Thank You for teaching us that ministry to the marketplace is not merely about producing Christian business content. It is about bringing real work, real decisions, real burdens, real businesses and real people consciously under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

That is why the Altar matters.

Before strategy, there is surrender.

Before growth, there is stewardship.

Before influence, there is consecration.

Before public work, there must be private obedience.

And whatever eventually flows from the Altar must first have been submitted at the Altar.

As Consecrated Business Ministry continues to grow, may we never become impressed by what we build. May we remain in awe of the One for whom we build.

May our resources serve people.

May our teachings point people toward truth.

May our prayers carry businesses before God.

May our gatherings make room for worship, intercession and formation.

May our work strengthen faithful stewardship in the marketplace.

And when something has fulfilled its purpose, may we have the wisdom to release it rather than creating dependence upon the ministry.

We are not the destination.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

The ministry is simply one place where work can be brought before Him, examined in the light of His Word, prayed over, strengthened, corrected, formed and sent back into the marketplace with greater clarity and faithful stewardship.

So before we continue, we establish this testimony here for ourselves and for those who may come after us:

The Lord has helped us.

What has been built belongs to Him.

What remains to be built belongs to Him.

The people belong to Him.

The businesses belong to Him.

The marketplace belongs to Him.

The future belongs to Him.

And we will continue building from that place.

God is Boss.
